Hi! My name is Daniela and I provide a warm, empathetic, and collaborative environment where we can build a healing therapeutic relationship. I work to cultivate a “brave space” and operate from an anti-oppressive, LGBTQIA+-affirming, and anti-racist lens to create an environment where you can explore all aspects of your identity and personhood. I pull from a wide variety of therapeutic techniques including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory and the neurobiological impact of trauma. When I’m not in the office, you can catch me playing video games, chilling on the couch with my cat Stella or enjoying the Austin sunshine at Barton Springs.

Faves & Facts
-
Esther Perel deeply informs my own work with romantic partners. Her podcast “Where Should We Begin?” addresses topics of desire, infidelity, attachment and connection with nuance that feels like a breath of fresh air in the face of rigid societal norms.
-
I love this book of essays by the hilarious and expressive Jen Winston. She explores themes of self-discovery, queerness, uncertainty and coming of age in a way that speaks directly to my soul. I highly recommend this book to anyone in need of a good laugh (or a good cry).
-
Who doesn’t love a nostalgic 2000’s-era Studio Ghibli movie? Something about the hand-drawn animation adds a little whimsy and joy to even the toughest of days.
-
It’s a classic for a reason! I love to connect with nature, whether that’s by hiking, swimming, or just enjoying the sunshine. My favorite way to explore Austin is through its many green spaces and watering holes.
